Peace officer Accredited TRaining OnLine

Peace officer Accredited TRaining OnLine (PATROL) is available anywhere law enforcement professionals have access to a computer and the internet. Officers can take courses anytime to earn credits that meet both continuing education requirements and industry mandates.

Here are three reasons to consider PATROL as one of your primary training sources:

  • PATROL keeps peace officers current on legal issues and mandated training. Officers and deputies will have access to a new course every month covering recent case law, nine refresher courses, five supervisory courses, and 10 courses that meet OSHA standards and POST mandates. All courses are POST-accredited.
  • Each year peace officers can earn up to 36 POST credits for only $85 per year—or just $2.36 per course. Since PATROL is web-based, you won’t need to spend time or money for travel and off-site training. Administration is simple, too—designated chief law enforcement officers can go online to see which peace officers have completed PATROL coursework, the number of POST credits earned, and other useful information.
  • The training is written by people who have been there—former peace officers, who develop the content with input from police liability professionals, insurance defense attorneys, and local law enforcement agencies.
